MEN: CELEBRATE WOMEN!

TRUTH TIME: If most men were honest with themselves they would have to admit that relating to women, freely, does not come easy. If you are a man reading this post, and have a ‘female’ challenge before you, here are four ideas to help you. EXPLORE what you believe about women. (Many men never stop to think about what they actually think about women.). From the Genesis account it is clear that God placed an equal role for both men and women to perform. Adam and Eve were each given an equal share in ‘taking dominion’ or ‘bringing order’ to the land that was placed before them (Gen. 1.28). If men are to have less stressed relationships with women (as compared to stressFULL) it will begin by relating to a woman as an equal.

If you HAVE BEEN a man who has had an unhealthy view of women EARN the respect of the women around you by changing your behavior and attitudes about women. I am not talking about lip service, patronizing or convenience-based behaviors. I am talking about a serious makeover. If you need help with this, go to a man you respect (and that women respect) and get the help you need. If YOU ARE a man who is discovering that your understanding of women has been less than fair, just or admirable EXPRESS to the woman closest to you your sincere apology for your ‘gender bias’ and ask for forgiveness for your previous bigoted, unkind and narrow-minded mindset.

If you WANT TO BE a man that women are attracted to, desirous of, seek out, respect, ask opinions from, want to be a friend with or possibly, one day marry…EMPOWER the women in your life; actively give women sincere appreciation and recognition. A second way of empowering women is to be respectful of women (loose your sexist or chauvinistic humor). A third way to empower women (whereby women feel safe around you) is to publically treat women as equals, in front of other men. A final way to encourage women is, learn how to cook! (Women love men who cook!! I am serious on this one.)

Final thought men. Many women today have 'male issues' because of how they have been treated by men (not to mention by their fathers). Guys, you must know this. The depth of this pain sorrows Father God. It is time for men to remember the words of the Apostle Paul when he wrote, "there is no longer a dividing line between men and women"....so men, what are we waiting for?
