Learning, earning and returning (facebook series)

Three stages of life: learning, earning and returning. Being with college students as much as I am much of my time is spent in the learning category. But before they and I both know it, learning eventually becomes earning--first job. After an even shorter period of time, if a person 'learns' that life is more than just money, earning will translate into returning--giving back. How does one move from one stage to the next? A person must look in to see what is changing with them; look out to see how the world is changing; look up to see what God may be calling them to do; step back to listen again and finally step up to meet the next big challenge....then, it all starts over again. Ex-Beatle, John Lennon, was right, life is what happens when we are busy making plans...where are you today? What are you learning?..is from what you have learned that you then have the currency to invest in the lives of others.
