Is Bobby Knight crazy? (facebook series)

Basketball coach Bobby Knight of Texas Tech announced two years ago he would not accept his quarter million dollar salary because of his team’s 74-68 loss to Baylor. Knight said he had not done a good job and neither had his team. Texas Tech athletic director Gerald Myers tried to talk the coach out of the decision. Myers added, “Bobby's too hard on himself. He’s done a great job these last two years". When this story broke (Knight has since resigned his post) I thought he was crazy. But I share this true story for a reason. There comes times in all of our lives when we have to show others and, ourselves, what we really believe. In the college environment, it is the time of year where students must step up, and focus. For all of us the comes a time where we need to focus and get back to what is important to us. Thank you Bobby Knight for conviction to show others what you believed and....you are still a little crazy.
