Don't be an ostrich (facebook series)
You may feel like you are losing your mind because you are acting like an ostrich. When threatened, an ostrich either puts its head in the sand (denial) or has a lethal "kicking ability" (acts out! Ostrichs really do this!!). Denying the need for change or acting destructively (hurting others) will only fuel your inner sense of craziness. If you want to continue to feel out of control here is what NOT to do, DO NOT: overgeneralize ('everyone is doing it'), minimize (its not that bad), have black and white thinking, practice wishful thinking (if only) or,'should on' yourself (you stupid idiot). If you want to continue to live in low self esteem continue to insist on being perfect, refuse help, practice selfishness by not helping others or, take every opportunity to be negative. You need to know, confidence comes from helping others, doing the absolute best you can and celebrate even the smallest of victories. You do not have to be an ostrich! Now, start living!!
