"The lord is my shepherd; I have all I need. I rest in green meadows; he leads me besides peaceful streams and renews my strength." These verses from 'The Shepherd's Psalm' tell me God is my protector, my provider and my peace-giver. O, that I would know this. In very recent days I have not been living in 'the Lord is' or, 'I have all I need' and certainly not, 'my strength is renewed'. I have journeyed to the next verses, 'the valley of the shadow', 'a highway of fear', 'the presence of enemies'. Like Jonah (see chapter 2), I find myself quickly swirling to ocean depths,
death wraps itself around me as I sink deeper and deeper into (perceived) chaos. An answer, you ask? To all wearied pilgrims I say, there IS the promise of a prepared feast, an anointing from the hand of God Himself and, a cup overflowing with blessings. I am NOT at the feast today. I am in need of fresh oil. The Scriptures declaration of blessings to come are but only a prophetic promise. Yet, I will continue to seek other wounded healers--they are out there. If you too are lost hold on and, don't give up, please!!
